Welding technology

The perfect combination of power source and welding technology, and if applicable robot technology, is a decisive factor when it comes to the quality of the welding product.

FRIZLEN resistors are used at several points in welding devices, regardless of whether the devices are hand-held welders or welding robots.

Adjust welding current

For applications in which the welding current must often be adjusted as the material pairing changes, FRIZLEN wire-wound variable resistors (potentiometer) or slide resistors are used. These are also available in a staged design with a value that does not increase proportionally with the resistance value.

Limit welding current

To protect the welding machine and also the machine operator, FRIZLEN is developing resistors for current limitation. In the event of a short-circuit, e.g. as a result of direct contact between welding electrodes, the power supplied is restricted to a maximum value. The resistors can be integrated into the welding device depending on the installation space available or be fixed to the device externally in a higher protection class.
